How I Work

Therapy is not one‑size‑fits‑all. My style is person‑centred, integrative, and trauma‑informed, which means I pay close attention to your pace, your story, and what feels safe for you. I draw mainly on trauma‑ and attachment‑focused approaches to understand how your past experiences and relationships may still be shaping how you feel and relate to others today.

In practice, this means we look at both your current struggles, like anxiety, low mood, burnout, or feeling “too much”, and the deeper roots underneath, so that any changes we make feel safer, kinder, and more sustainable over time.

Areas of Focus

Anxiety, worry, and panic
Depression and mood-related concerns
Workplace or academic stress and burnout
Family conflict, relationship/attachment issues, abuse
Identity, self‑criticism, and self‑esteem
Life transitions/adjustments
Trauma, grief and loss
Self‑harm, suicidal thoughts

What to Expect

First session (intake)

In our first session, I’ll ask some questions about your history, current struggles, and what you’re hoping for from therapy. It’s also a chance for you to get a sense of me and see whether this feels like a good fit.

Ongoing sessions

Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes and can be weekly, fortnightly, or less frequent depending on what feels manageable for you. We’ll check in regularly on how you’re doing and adjust our focus as needed, so therapy stays responsive to what you need over time.

When helpful, I may also offer brief parent or family support sessions alongside a teen’s therapy, to strengthen understanding and support at home. These sessions are conducted with the teen’s collaboration to ensure their sense of safety and privacy remains a priority
